Huh.
The post about the Setforeground window thingy has buggered up my blog. It's not my fault though. Its a bug. Also my header image is a bit brown? Either it's my screen settings or image shack doesn't like me?
EDIT: Damn, it always was brown. Just saw the PSD now. This page sucks.
EDIT 2: Seems to be fixed. Must work on the header though. Pretty shit.
Wow
Found a seriously wicked program. I love it. Wish I had thought of it first
It's called Mmm.
What it does is allow you to edit most menus in windows, for example the internet explorer context menu: remove all those crap google menus, encoding, etc. Modify the windows explorer context menus.... bla. Cool name too.
EDIT: Get it here(theres a free version)
Goddamn I hate my girlfriends voice message, it says hellooo and then u hear the beep just after you've said hello and all. Gets me EVERY time. She must have about ten "Hi love" messages.
Busy getting drunk right now, maybe I should get back to that.

Beer/Lara Croft
Pretty much done with StartMenuEx. Well, version 1 at least. Gotta work on getting it out there now. Oh, I added theme support to it, so you can design the way your menus look and whatever, and redesigned the way the mouse hooking works, making it muuuuch much better performance wise.
Time for beers I think. Hmm. Is 10:30 to early to start drinking? Shut up.
Oh I been playing the new tombraider. The only thing I have noticed about it, besides slightly funky gameplay, is that Lara is much younger, and much hotter. Pretty cool. Guess I can stand playing a shite game if theres constantly a hot chic in sight. Actually it's not that shite. Well I am stuck in some stupid room with seemingly no way out, which really pisses me off sometimes.

SetForegroundWindowEx
Ever found that you can't set the foreground window if you're not the current foreground thread? I was working on StartMenuEx and found that the contextMenuStrip won't close if the window it's being displayed on isn't the foreground window.

Last night
Last night my girlfriend was putting my duvet cover on.
She's not very good at things like this....
I was working on my book and turned around to see her standing covered in the sheet, like a halloween ghost, and just at that moment she lost her balance and tried to fall on the bed. She hit the side of the bed and fell off, landing pretty hard on the floor.
She's pretty bruised right now, and I don't think I'll be letting her put the duvet cover on again, for fear of injury.
Anyways, thought that was pretty funny.
Finished with Part 2 of “The Book”
Getting a bit of writers block, which I translate to "writing the boring parts". Need some amping up or something. Maybe large amount of coffee.
The Gmail Notifier – Green Edition
Warning: Doing this might be illegal. All I know is that it works. Cause I'm clever and stuff.
Are you tired of google's gmail notifier with the crappy blue icon? I couldn't handle it anymore, so ugly, so I made mine green.
- Fire up Visual Studio
- Drag the notifier exe into it
- Open up the Icon group
- Edit the icons

Cowboys/Cowgirls and Indians
Here's a pic of me at some cowboy and indian party I went to a while ago. It wasn't fucking ymca or anything, seriously, there are chics around, just not in the picture.
chillin
Had a pretty mellow weekend
Friday I chilled with the girlfriend and watched movies, i think. Oh, on thursday I went out and got pretty hammered. Was fun.
Anyways, last night I went to a lan game, played loads of COD2, a friend made a mod called Fury which makes all the cool weapons fire extremely fast. Like 6 shotgun bullets by the time you've lifted your finger off the mouse! So its quite intense. Walk around a corner and before you have time to react you're dead. Loads of fun. Good with beer and shouting FUUCK YOOOOU.
Anyways, gonna go watch some live band tonight, and maybe get plastered, maybe work on my book a bit now before the drinking. Or whatever.

Hmm…
Had a dream last night that seemed like I was watching a movie:
This dude was in a lobby with his friend, and they went upstairs to use the toilet. While he's pissing his friend notices a hole in the wall and takes a look inside and sees a dismembered body. All of a sudden his soul gets sucked out (which is purple and smoky) and he deeead.
The other dude sees this, stresses out, and starts walking out the toilet. When he gets by the door the soul sucker thingy tries to suck out his soul but it seems he's immune to it.
He makes his way downstairs and meets some chic who he apparently knows, cause she's like "We gotta save my daughter, shes outside all by herself".
I woke up just then.
Why am I having cheesy movie dreams? Was it a cheesy nightmare? Is that why I woke up? Maybe my brain was like "fuckit this is cheesy wake the dude up!!!!!!"
anyways.

EDIT: Cheesiness revealed: Darryn just helped me realize that purple souls are what you see when you cast Soul Steal on something in Oblivion! I haven't played that game in a while, it must be a subconscious longing to play games or something.
