Just switched over!
The WickedOrange host has changed! Finally!
We are now using IxWebhosting. I have already noticed an increase in speed!
Much better service, including 24/7 online chat with support! Sweet!
Anyway, the user experience is now much better.
Thanks again to IxWebhosting!
Insert an image into a RichTextBox…
I was searching the web for quite a while trying to find a way to convert an image to RTF format. There are plenty of articles that kill the clipboard, put the image there, and then paste it into the text box. Not very nice, I'd be a bit bitter if I lost my clipboard data! Seriously.
There was even an article on CodeProject about converting to EMF, then to WMF using some GDI declares!
I wonder why people didn't just think to store the clipboard data, then put it back?? Well anyway. Such a small amount of code, no PInvoke.
Private Sub insertImage(ByVal rtb As RichTextBox, ByVal image As Image)
'store old data, so we can set it back afterwards.
Dim oldData As IDataObject = Clipboard.GetDataObject
Clipboard.SetDataObject(image)
Dim format As DataFormats.Format = DataFormats.GetFormat(DataFormats.Bitmap)
If rtb.CanPaste(format) Then
rtb.Paste(format)
End If
'set old data back.
Clipboard.SetDataObject(oldData)
End Sub
Titanic 2
This is pretty classic!
EDIT: FORGET THAT! Rapidshare sucks. You gotta wait 24 minutes.
A dog driving a car, and a game
Went out to Embargoes last night, and got quite liquored up. There was a live band, and a raffle to win some prizes...
My girlfriend won me this:
Quite stoked. Gonna check out the local servers as soon as installation is done.
Also, before we went out we went up to the kommetjie mountain and drank some quarts. Craig almost fell over when he looked behind us and saw this:
Could even be a wolf. Is that a wolf? Looks like something out of a Gary Larson comic.
Anyway, peace
New Years
I just realised I probably should do a New Years post sometime soon.
I got horribly drunk at the British Bulldog. It was a cool little mini-party. I arrived at eight and everyone there was completely plastered.
Heres some pictures of drunkenness. Note, there are no pictures of me because I was that drunk.
Heres my sister and brother in law. She puked shortly after, I believe.
My girlfriends sister, and her boyfriend.
Geoffrey and Greg, apparently holding a Rizla. Well it sort of looks like it. I dunno.
Just some random people.
Some more people.
Anyway, it was a good New Years. I particularly hate New Years parties, because they're never as good as they are "meant" to be. I have better parties at least once a month. Oh and my best friends were on family holidays and shit, so it was mostly my girlfriend's friends.
