New South African ISP: Skaweb
A friend has recently started a new service provider, Skaweb, which offers some very competitive prices.
If you live in South Africa, then head on over to Skaweb.co.za and save some money.
The site design is still underway so if there's anything buggy, it should be resolved shortly.
Cyanide & Happiness
If you haven't checked out the comic Cyanide & Happiness then you're definately missing out! I think it's my new favourite comic, with xkcd (You KNOW what xkcd is, right??) coming in close second.
Here's two of my favourites so far, although I haven't made my way through the massive archives.
I hope to be half as funny as these guys someday.
Want to race solar cars?
A friend pointed me towards this. If you're at all interested in this type of thing, check it out!
It's a purely South African event, I believe.
Maps.Amung.Us
I've added a widget on the right which shows live visitors to this site, and any pages the widget appears on. You can get your own, for free, from Maps.Amung.Us. You can also customise the look of the map, if you want.
What happens to YOUR car in an accident?
ConsumerReports.Org offers a video preview of what will happen to certain cars in an accident. Quite fun to watch, although they don't list my car there.
Found on LifeHacker
LivePlasma, a Music and Movie discovery service.
Similar to the music discovery service OneLlama (recently blogged here), LivePlasma allows you to do the same with music and movies!
In the screen shot below, I searched for "quentin tarantino" under Directors...
You can even create your own maps!
More and more of these services are popping up lately, and I'm really interested to see which ones become the industry leaders. Anyone got any ideas?
Windows Live Image Search?
I was just taking a look at Windows Live Image Search and it looks so much better than Google's image search! It's fully "AJAXified" and even has a "Scratch Pad" which you can drag images to, and make a collection of images you've found. Perfect!
You seriously have to try it out. I was skeptical at first but this totally beats Google with it's functionality.
